About the Event
Join Elysian Valley Arts Collective artist-in-residence, Katrina Alexy, every Tuesday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for an all day, drop in, art studio session at The Blake Lofts, in the Community Room in Frogtown.
Learn various mosaic techniques starting with smaller pieces and working up to a larger community-based mosaic art piece. The first gathering will be September 12, 2023 with an introduction to the program at 10:00 am, and a flexible, open studio with drop in hours from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm for the duration of the residency, Tuesdays, beginning September 12th until December 19, 2023.
The workshops are limited to 12 people and will be similar to a quilting bee; learning to piece together various tiled "quilts" all while having time to focus on creativity, sharing and community. A waitlist will be created if more than 12 people sign up for these workshops.
