About the Event
Join us for a screening of our original film "Art Along the River," where we talk to some of the artists and residents of Frogtown to find out "what is it about this place?"
Directed by Woodbury University filmmaking student and recent graduate Eric Villicana and produced by Elysian Valley Arts Collective, this short documentary film is about the artists that have historically lived in Frogtown, a creative enclave along the LA River and their experiences living and creating in this vibrant neighborhood.
Artist John Vincent Falchi narrarates the film and interviews several artists and residents in the community to find out why they came to Frogtown, what inspires them about this sliver of land in Los Angeles couched between the river and a freeway and ultimately, why they stay.
