(b.2002) Maximus Jacobo Valentine Oppenheimer is an interdisciplinary artist born and raised in the city of Los Angeles, California. His multiple series of work including painting, collage, drawing and digital media combine poetic text and abstraction to illustrate the psychological and sociopolitical conflict amongst the ongoing history and developments of his native northeast Los Angeles. The vitality of cultures and historic landmarks harmoniously coexisting amidst the chaos of his resident zipcodes remains a ceaseless inspiration to the work, as well as the shadows of esoteric mystery which have followed Los Angeles for decades through its religious movements, numerology, and underground art scenes.
