The 2016 Frogtown Artwalk is dedicated to Lewis MacAdams, founder of Friends of the Los Angeles River, and his vision of the river restoration as a 40 year art project. As Lewis has said “…the Friends of the LA River created the idea of a swimmable, fishable, boatable, bikeable (and likeable) river. We work with politics, with the environment. with social movements, basically with people who want to see the river come back to life in their time. It is an act of conscious magic we try to pull off on a yearly basis.” This year, we celebrate Lewis and his vision as we work to create the little bit of magic each year known as the Frogtown Artwalk.
