"Our River" selected as finalist in New Los Angeles Filmmaker's Festival

The EVAC commissioned film “Our River” by filmmaker Mimi Phan was selected as a finalist in the New Los Angeles Filmmaker’s Festival. The film is a documentary about the unique relationship that long-time residents of Elysian Valley have with the adjacent Los Angeles River. The Boulevard Sentinel ran a front page story on “Our River” and on the New Los Angeles’ Filmmaker Festival in their November edition. The two page article talks about the Elysian Valley Arts Collective, the neighborhood of Elysian Valley, the making of the film and quotes some of the participants.
